Sister Teddy is a woman from the Acholi  tribe in Northern Uganda.  She saw her people suffering at the hands of the vicious Lord's Resistance Army, a rebel group who kidnapped, tortured and murdered innocent people.  God stirred her heart to help those who could not help themselves, the disabled children.

Because of the 20 year war in which the LRA ravaged these people, there were many victims.  Many of the victims were left alive, but barely.  Children were blind, deaf, lame, and mentally challenged.  Many families could not support these children and so they just left them to die.

Teddy's heart was burdened by God to take action.  Through many hardships and persecutions, she has started a school called NUCBACD - Northern Uganda Community-Based Action for Children with Disabilities.  She has saved hundreds of lives.  She trains children, she houses them during their schooling, she gives them hope for the future.  Every week these children attend Bible studies as well, where they learn about God who loves them and who will one day right every wrong, the God whose heart breaks for their suffering.

Recently the UN has stopped supporting groups like Sister Teddy's with food supplies.  The children could walk to town to get the supplies they need.  Unfortunately they are too handicapped to make the trip.  Five for food was started to help Sister Teddy's school get the food and medical supplies they need.   Would you prayerfully consider joining us in our effort to provide for these children?  Just five dollars a month can make a difference.
